Laura Trask is the Acting Director of Development at Ayuda. In this role she provides overall direction for Ayuda’s development initiatives, including: Fundraising, major giving, fundraising events, organizational campaigns,  and marketing and communications.

Prior to joining Ayuda in November 2017, Laura worked abroad in Chile and, most recently, in Guatemala. In Chile, she served as the development associate for VE Global, a nonprofit that supports at-risk youth in Santiago. In Guatemala, she served as sponsorship coordinator for Education for the Children (EFTC), a nonprofit that provides education, nutrition, and access to healthcare for low-income students in Jocotenango.

Laura received her B.A. in Print Journalism and B.A. in Foreign Relations from James Madison University. She holds a graduate certification in International Nonprofit Management from James Madison University, and a certification in Human Rights: Immigrant and Refugee Rights from the Henry Dunant Foundation. She is fluent in Spanish.

Ayuda is excited to announce that as of Tuesday, September 1, 2021 we have a NEW DC office! Ayuda will no longer be operating out of our 6925B Willow St NW nor our 1413 K St. NW offices.

Our new Washington, D.C. office is located at 1990 K Street NW, Suite 500 Washington, DC 20006.
