Ayuda welcomes the positive changes made to the proposed FY26 budget by D.C. Councilmembers during Committee mark-ups, but their work is NOT done yet. This budget STILL fails to meet the needs of our most vulnerable neighbors, including low-income immigrants. 🚨 We need you to contact your Council members and ask them to: ✅ Fully restore funding for the Access to Justice Initiative to $31M ✅ Increase funding for the Office of Victim Services and Justice Grants victim services line to reach the needed $59M ✅ Reject the mayor’s proposal to narrow eligibility for the DC Healthcare Alliance and restore $48M in funding for life-saving care. 🗣️ D.C. residents, your voice matters! Contact your Councilmember today and urge them to protect our communities. 🔗 We’ve made it easy, visit our website today: zurl.co/Iii8b 📣 Non-DC Residents, you can still lend your voice by sharing this post! ...
